how can wifi be integrated with maps?

i am wondered abt how wifi technology is integrated with Maps.... i am working on GIS maps..... and i would like to know how it is integrated wifi.... also can someone help with this... so that i can participate actively...with this forum...... with regds Jgadeesh

What is Wardriving?

Wardriving is a kindof sport among WiFI enthusiasts. The idea is to use a laptop, wireless card, and GPS in the car while driving. What is WiFiMaps?

WiFiMaps is a website which takes the data that wardrivers have found, and allows people to see maps of WiFi coverage.
